I finally solved the wireless problem that XP SP3 created. I installed SP3 and afterward my linksys usb adapter stopped working. I took the opportunity to reformat the drive and reinstall XP Home and when I installed SP3 the same thing happened again. I tried setting up the adapter with the linksys software and without and no luck. Then I tried to manually setup the adapter and enter in the encryption password for WPA2 that I setup on the router and I noticed the password box did not give me enough spaces to type the password. Ta da! I shortened the password and voila! Works like a charm.

I am so ticked off with Service Pack 3 for XP. I have a wireless usb linksys adapter (wusb54gc) that was working perfectly with my linksys wireless router. When I installed SP3 it killed my wireless. I flattened the computer and used my recovery disk to set my computer up again thinking a clean setup would do the trick. Same thing happened. You gotta love service packs.
